Organizational leadership
ECYDO has a well-defined and articulated bylaw that guides its overall operations. According to the bylaw, the Executive Board is the highest body of the association. The Executive Board members serve for four years and they assign the Executive Director who is responsible to run the day-to-day activities of the organization. The Executive Director assigned the Head of Finance, Head programs, and others staff according to roles and responsibilities approved by the Executive Board.
Financial System
The organization carries out all its financial transactions and disbursements as per the generally accepted accounting principles through a well-organized financial system. The standard book of account and all relevant financial vouchers are put in place. Qualified and well-experienced financial staff are recruited. Moreover, external and legally registered auditors review the organization’s financial activities annually.
Children’s Council
The children’s council is accountable to the Executive Board of ECYDO which will provide advice and make some strategic decisions on issues that concern children under the age of 18 years. The detailed TOR of the council has been developed with the active involvement of children. This will enable the children and Managing Board of ECYDO to work more closely in addressing the needs and the rights of children in a more participatory way
